Ass Kisser Double IPA

Bottle (22oz) poured into a glass beer mug (22oz?)

Pours a dirty copper color with foamy head, lacing is ok.

Nose has some hop, citrus, piney.

62 IBU's, ABV is 7.75%.

Tastes like an ok ipa. Not the best double ipa that's for sure..

Mouthfeel is almost watery, thin, lightly carbonated.

Being a double/imperial ipa fanatic, this was not one that I'd go out and buy again. It was alright, just not deserving of what an imperial ipa should be in my opinion.

Dry Dock Double IPA by Dry Dock Brewing

Bottle (22oz) poured into a glass beer mug (22oz?)

Pours a nice orange/dirty copper color with foamy head, lacing is ok.

Great nose. Malty aroma initially. Definitely some hoppy aroma, maybe a little pine.

No info on the IBU's but I'd guess it's about 65 - 70. ABV is a nice 9%.

Tastes as good as it smells. Piney, citrusy, finishes with a strong hop bitterness that's nice.

Mouthfeel is medium, almost creamy, lightly carbonated.

Decent double ipa, enjoyable, and recommended. I wouldn't make a special trip to find it, but definitely a good brew if you see it.

Supa Hero by Clown Shoes

Tried on tap at my favorite local bar in a pint glass.

Pours a nice orange/copper color with good lacing. Color reminds me of Blue Moon.

Great nose. Hops, hops and yes more hops.

No info on the IBU's but I'd guess it's about 80 - 85. ABV is a healthy 8%.

Tastes as good as it smells. Piney, earthy, and definitely hop-delicious. One of the more bitter double ipa's I've had lately.

Mouthfeel is medium, not over carbonated.

Can't wait to get back to the bar and have a few more of these before they blow the keg!

Burton Baton by Dogfish Head Craft Brew Ales

Bottle (12oz) poured into a dogfish head pint glass.

Pours a nice red/orange color with beautiful lacing.

Smell amazing. Great nose here, sweet oak, light vanilla, nice hop aroma and some booze.

Aroma is vanilla and slight oak, followed by a nice hoppy bite and a slightly malty backbone. ABV is 10%, but I really was not able to detect much of an alcohol taste. Nice amount of hop bitterness but not over the top, taste lingers perfectly.

Mouthfeel is medium body with medium carbonation.

Overall this is my favorite dogfish head brew so far, a tasty and aromatic imperial ipa. If youre a fan of imperial ipa's, this comes highly recommended.

Old No. 23 by Bristol Brewing

Bottle (12oz) poured into a nice Belgian globe.

Pours like a thin brown ale. Little to no head or lacing. Kind of murky looking.

Aroma is definately malty, ok very malty. More like a Belgian Quad than just a barley wine. ABV is at 11.25 (be careful drinking this one). Definately some alcohol flavor. Dry mouthfeel, like the malt evaporated.

Not much to say about this one. Good for the style. Not syrupy. If you love Belgians and quads then this brew is for you.
